Because HUD persists in ignoring our complaints, putting out their own version of all the good deeds they do, and ignore us tenants.
I've signed it, because apparently this blog, my facebook page (OCCUPY HUD), as well as my numerous written and verbal complaints aren't enough.
Ironically, the New York Rep for the National Alliance of Hud Tenants contacted Karen today - and, in a chastising manner told her that there were: "better ways to handle this".... Which makes me wonder: Which "better way" is she referring to?! Has she come home to her son's window being mysteriously unlocked?! Has she had to live for five years in a mold-ridden house?! Have her verbal and written complaints been "lost" or disregarded multiple times??!! Has she had to watch her 80-year-old mother suffer for two months without heat? Has she ever been wrongfully evicted by HUD? How about being threatened multiple times with eviction, and embarrassed - like myself?!
The time to be diplomatic and tactful is OVER. We've tried all the necessary channels to contact the proper authorities, to no avail. Now, it's OUR TIME.
So, I suggest: If you can't stand the heat, stay outta the kitchen !!
